The gloves still look a little weird and the light effects might be a little off (color-wise) but it should be ok now.

Take into account that the 3D model Viewer seems to be a bit glitched for this set at the moment, you may see weird green lines and the pants are supposed to be robes so the midriff on the females might not actually be there on live and of course the pants will actually be robes.


 
 

The Firelands: Lord Rhyolith & Baleroc

Blizzard updated their preview of the Firelands and added 2 bosses screenshots. Interestingly enough, Lord Anthrycist lost his controversial-weird name and is now named Ryolith.

A Word on Tier 12 Set Bonuses

We've seen a lot of discussion and debate over the new set bonuses. Just so everyone is aware, we're still assessing the set bonuses for tier 12 as we go through more testing and gathering more feedback.

To give you a heads up on what we're looking at so far though, here are the most recent bonuses we have in mind for some of the sets (some of what's listed below are amendments to the existing bonuses on the PTR).

Some of these bonuses might already be live as of the build pushed earlier this week, while some are yet to be implemented. If your class/specialization isn't listed here, it means the bonuses either haven't changed, or the changes haven't been solidified. Just the same, all of this is subject to ch-ch-changes over the course of the PTR process. Your feedback is appreciated!

  • Blood Death Knight 4-Piece: The bonus to parry from Dancing Rune Weapon now begins when Dancing Rune Weapon wears off, instead of lasting while Dancing Rune Weapon is active.
  • Frost/Unholy Death Knight 4-Piece: Old bonus removed and replaced -- Your Obliterate and Scourge Strike abilities deal 6% additional damage as Fire damage over 4 seconds.
  • Feral Druid 4-Piece: The bonus to dodge from Barkskin now begins when Barkskin wears off, instead of lasting while Barkskin is active.
  • Restoration Druid 4-Piece: Old bonus removed and replaced -- Your Swiftmend also heals an injured target within 8 yards for the same amount.
  • Holy Paladin 2-Piece: Old bonus removed and replaced -- Healing with Holy Shock has a 40% chance to grant you 6% of your base mana.
  • Holy Paladin 4-Piece: Old bonus removed and replaced -- Your Divine Light, Flash of Light, and Holy Light spells also heal an injured target within 8 yards for 10% of the amount healed.
  • Protection Paladin 4-Piece: The bonus to parry from Divine Protection now begins when Divine Protection wears off, instead of lasting while Divine Protection is active.
  • Holy/Discipline Priest 2-Piece: Now also triggers from casting Prayer of Mending.
  • Holy/Discipline Priest 4-Piece: Old bonus removed and replaced -- You have a chance when you cast a helpful spell to summon a Cauterizing Flame at the target’s location. Each second the Cauterizing Flame will heal an injured party member within 20 yards for 9250 to 10750 health. Lasts 5 seconds.
  • Shadow Priest 2-Piece: Now requires the priest to be in Shadowform to be active.
  • Warlock 4-Piece: Now also triggers from casting Drain Soul.
  • Arms/Fury Warrior 2-Piece: Old bonus removed and replaced -- Your Battle Shout and Commanding Shout abilities grant you an additional 35 rage. Cannot occur more often than once every 60 seconds.
  • Protection Warrior 4-Piece: The bonus to parry from Shield Wall now begins when Shield Wall wears off, instead of lasting while Shield Wall is active.

Character/Guild/Arena Team APIs Preview

As previously announced, we are planning to expand the Community Platform API with feeds for the 3 different types of profiles currently available on the website: characters, guilds, and arena teams. We’d like to share our current plans (may change, not a promise) with all of you as we look forward to providing a robust API that meets the needs of the community.

Each of the feeds below will be accessed by using a realm and name. The feeds will always contain basic information by default, and will have optional fields that can be requested via a parameter – making it possible to retrieve all the data in a single request. A locale parameter will also be available for localized strings. In addition, the feeds will support the Last-Modified HTTP header to help with caching. Just like with the realm status feed, region will be specified using the subdomain (e.g. eu.battle.net/api/.. for European realms), and both json(p) and protocol buffer output will be supported.

  • URL: /api/wow/character/{realm}/{name}
  • Basic information: name, level, class, race, gender, faction, guild, achievement points
  • Optional fields: equipped items, stats, reputation, primary and secondary skills, achievements/statistics, talents, titles, collected mounts and companions, quests, profession recipes, Hunter pets, PvP information

Guild
  • URL: /api/wow/guild/{realm}/{name}
  • Basic information: name, level, achievement points
  • Optional fields: members (roster), achievements

Arena Team
  • URL: /api/wow/arena/{realm}/{size}/{name} (size being 2v2, 3v3 or 5v5)
  • Basic information: name, ranking, rating, weekly/season statistics
  • Optional fields: members (roster)

Optional fields would be requested using the ‘fields’ parameter, where you specify everything you need using a comma-separated list. e.g:
/api/wow/character/realm-name/grotako?fields=items,talents,mounts,titles
Sample feeds will soon be provided as we’d also like feedback on the data format. In the meantime, let us know what you think!

p.s: We’ll have more details on the Auction House and Arena Ladder APIs to share in the coming weeks.

PTR Raid Testing Schedule 5/16-5/17

We will be testing on both EU and US PTR realms initially, with other regions to come later. 25 Player and Heroic testing will happen later in the PTR testing cycle.

As always, the schedule can change at a moment’s notice due to issues with the build, server, encounter, or the fickle, fickle nature of designers. The encounters are all a work in progress; there will be bugs and tuning is not final.
